We're also a social enterprise. This means we go out of our way to create employment for people who've been out of work for a long time.

Social Roasting Company was born as a result of a passionate, quirky, and slightly obsessive crew of Melbourne coffee professionals (Octane Espresso) merging with a team of focused, energised and visionary business people in the non-profit sector (Fair Business).

The meeting of these excellent minds has created a business model never before seen in the Australian coffee industry.

Social Roasting Company is the first not for profit owned coffee roasting company in Australia. We are not only taking good care of every aspect of our coffee production, but also the brilliant people that bring it to you from tree to cup. We have lots of exciting developments happening in the coming months, but we can?t tell you just yet!
